It will be recalled that last week, the plaintiff submitted a letter to the SJC dragging the four individuals mentioned earlier above to court on the basis of selling the Students Union Shuttle for the sum of #200,000 which is:

• Usurpation of power of the student union

While the Senate President was said to be present earlier before the commencement of the proceeding, he later left. The Student Union President, Transport Committee Chairman were said not to have shown up, leaving only the welfare director present throughout the proceeding.

When asked by the Faculty of Law Counsel, Fayehun Mosope about the #1.3 million given to the students union through the transport committee, the Welfare Director while standing in the dock said it he was not aware of such as he questioned the counsel with "By who?. Since I don't know, you should be able to tell me"

On why there was no counsel for the Welfare Director, the Welfare Director said he decided not to get a lawyer, he would act as a lawyer of himself.

In his explanation of whom the bus was sold to, Otse Hassan said it was sold to one Mr. Ojo (a man he trued hard to remember his full name because it's a Yoruba name) at a cost of two hundred thousand naira, which part of the money (#200,000) was used to get tires and some parts for the old bus.

On the account of whom the #200,000 transaction was made to, Otse Hassan made it known that the money wasn't sent to the Union's account, but his own account. He however assure to present receipts of payment of the equipments purchased for the old bus.

The case has been adjourned till week Friday 19th, October, 2018.

Meanwhile, neither the Students Union President, Senate President, nor the Transport Committee Chairman has publicly reacted, spoken, or contacted press men on the allegations levelled against them.
