2019: Ondo Hairdressers Endorse Mimiko For Senate, Says He’s Compassionate

Members of Association of Hairdressers Ondo state chapter, on Thursday declared their support for the Zenith Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Ondo Central and former Governor of Ondo state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, as the best candidate to represent the district at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019.

The group, speaking through its President, Mrs Oludipo Adewusi, made the declaration at a meeting with the former Governor in Akure.

Mrs Adewusi described Mimiko as a promise keeper and compassionate friend, saying his empowerment schemes through allocation of soft loans and provision of working equipments for the group during his time as Ondo state governor were some of the numerous reasons they will continue to support the former governor.

“Mimiko is compassionate. We were opportunted to get his phone number as a governor and It was only through a text message that we told him about the group’s needs and we were surprised to get his invite to meet the group. He honoured all our demands even beyond our request” she said.

He is trustworthy and we are sure that he will not dissapoint the people of Ondo Central Senatorial district and the state in general.

Also, more than 10 members of the group testified to the good works of Mimiko as governor of Ondo.

In his remarks, the former Governor stated the need to always empower women groups, saying a serious government cannot recored any reasonable achievement without empowerming women. He said women’s role is important in nation building.

Mimiko reassured the group of his commitment to always serve the people, that he will do even more than the testimonies of free maternal and child care, free school shuttle, empowerment schemes, and other life-changing interventions that different members of the group attested to earlier in the meeting.

The group said they will continue to canvass for votes for Mimiko in their respective constituencies.
